Enhancing Services with Technology

For most worship facilities, these are interesting times. There is a strong desire to reach the “unchurched” population, maintain the attendance of the younger portion of the congregation, and avoid alienating the senior members of the congregation who built and sustained the facility. As the use of technology in worship services has grown, many facilities are struggling to maintain a balance between traditional and contemporary worship styles, modern methods of presentation, and the requirements for someone with an advanced degree in electronics to operate all of the technology.

At CSI, we understand how to integrate the technology tools to meet the wide ranging requirements of worship facilities. From basic systems used to amplify the pastor's voice to dynamic music reinforcement, eye-opening video presentation, and lighting that enhances the worship experience, we have the expertise to put it all together for you. We can also integrate the control of the various systems so that you don't need a rocket scientist to operate them. Contact us today. Let us put our expertise to work for you.

Security

How safe is your house of worship?
FREE Safety & Security Assessment

The headlines are troublesome: Houses of worship are not immune to the increase in crimes making news today. How do you make sure you’re balancing an open, welcoming environment with effective protection against violence? How do you know if you’re doing all you can to protect your congregation? Your children? Your property?

Take the Self-Assessment Today
Download your FREE copy of the House of Worship Security Self-Assessment, developed by the American Crime Prevention Institute (ACPI), one of the preeminent crime prevention training organizations in the United States.

The simple and easy-to-use self-assessment will help you to see just how secure your facility is and identify areas you could improve. The assessment serves as a guide for non-security professionals in the houses of worship environment to engage in a careful observation of their facility in the following areas:

• Assessing areas of risk
• Identifying physical and electronic security gaps
• Securing assets, including people and property
• Protecting children and youth
• Managing visitor access to facilities

Our free assessment will help give you the peace of mind that you’re doing everything possible to provide a safe haven. For more information about Honeywell Security, call 804-559-4274, and ask for our Houses of Worship Solutions Group.

Lighting

HOW3

Did you realize that a properly designed and implemented theatrical lighting system can substantially improve the worship experience? Or that lighting systems designed for stage applications can have a negative impact on video presentation? Just as corporate boardrooms and worship facilities can serve multiple purposes, lighting systems can be designed to provide flexibility to meet your constantly changing needs.

As the use of multimedia increases in almost every facility, the design and implementation of architectural and theatrical lighting systems must also change. At CSI, we know how to integrate the lighting with the sound, video, and “other stuff,” so you get the results you need without creating problems for yourself along the way. Contact us today. You may find our answers illuminating!

Control

HOW2

One of the first questions our designers ask when we visit with a client for the first time is, “who will operate the audio, video, and lighting systems?” Most clients have either one specialist (with some knowledge), or a team approach (and whoever drew the short straw runs the systems). In a world where the use of technology is increasing rapidly, neither of these options are the best solution.

One way we can help those migrating from a basic, single system to the operation of multiple, high-level systems is through the use of integrated control systems. These systems can take the guesswork out of the operation, and make the systems easier to run. Think of your coffee table at home. You know—the one cluttered with remote controls for the TV, VCR, DVD, cable box, stereo system, CD player…. Think how easy it would be if one button on one control panel could dim the lights, lower the screen, select the correct video source, turn up the sound system and start the show. It can happen! Contact us to find out how. We’re glad to talk to you about integrating “all the pieces and parts” with a control system to make your life easier...and more productive...and less stressful.

Sound

HOW4

From performing arts centers to movie theatres and houses of worship, we are used to hearing high quality sound systems. A properly designed system can make all the difference in the world, allowing you to truly experience the performance, worship service or multimedia presentation. Over the years, CSI has installed sound systems for small country churches, performing arts centers, large contemporary worship facilities, government council chambers and sports facilities. We’ve designed and installed systems that virtually run themselves to systems with multi-channel mixing consoles and more knobs than the space shuttle!

Along the way, we learned to combine the technical aspects of audio, performance criteria, and system features and functions—all while meeting budget constraints, aesthetic considerations and end user operational considerations. We listen to what you ultimately want to do, then we design and install systems that allow you to do just that and more!

The folks at CSI understand and love audio. After all, that’s where we got started. Please give us a call at (804)559-4274 to find out why no one does audio better than CSI.

Video

What’s a presentation? It’s the means and methods of communicating via sound, imagery, human expression, and environment.

Once upon a time, a presenter stood in an auditorium and lectured, with an occasional scratch of chalk on slate. The information highway stretched on farther than the distance from the desk to the door. Today? The internet, digital cameras, PowerPoint, CDs, DVDs, live video feeds, interactive computers and much more represent the new tools of the trade for the professional presenter, whether s/he is a teacher, lecturer, doctor, politician, preacher, or Scout leader. Using the presentation tools of the 21st century, we can travel to the International Space Station, look inside the structure of DNA, listen to the language of a remote tribe in South Africa, or share each other’s ideas and creations with people on the other side of the world.

Think beyond the barriers of the closed room. Bring the world to you and your audience. Let us show you how. Call (804)559-4274 today and speak to one of our technology specialists.
